              Online application are invited from Indian Nationals processing the essential eligibility qualification given below for direct recruitment to the following post of Junior Engineer (trainee) Civil against category-wise vacancies under Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited UPPCL as detailed below. Submission of application through any other mode is not acceptable

Junior Engineer (trainee) Civil


Vacancy: total post 26 (unreserved-16, economically weaker section-03, OBC-06, SC-05, ST-01).

Technical qualification : Diploma in Civil Engineering

Essential eligibility qualification: 

A) Candidate should have through knowledge of Hindi (Devanagari Script ). The candidate must produce a certificate from the head of the institute from which he passed out or from a gazette officer in Uttar Pradesh that he can read and write Hindi in the Devanagari Script with ease, provided that such certificate will not be necessary in the case of a candidate who passed the high school or an equivalent examination with India who has obtained a degree diploma or certificate of any Hindi examination from an institution recognised by State Government

B) A candidate must have passed  3 years diploma examination in Civil Engineering awarded by the
Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or a Diploma equivalent thereto, recognised by the State Government.

Note: Diploma received through distance learning education will not be eligible

Pay scale: As per 7th pay commission [pay Matrix level-7; Rs. 44,900/- (minimum level in revised pay matrix)]. Dearness and other allowances admissible as per rule of UPPCL

Age limit: Candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 40 years as on at 01.01.2019

Relaxation in Age limit:
i) Apprenticeship training under apprenticeship Act 1961 actual period subject to maximum 24 months.
ii) SC, ST and OBC NCL of Uttar Pradesh domicile 5 years,
iii) Ex-servicemen who had served a minimum of 05 years in Armed force of India-(completed service years + 3 years) maximum 15 years.
However, maximum age of a candidate available all relaxation shall not exceed 55 years.

Reservation: reservation will be provided as per applicable reservation rules to SC, ST, OBC (non creamy layer) and EWS candidates who are original inhabitants of Uttar Pradesh domicile of Uttar Pradesh.

SC, ST, OBC category of other states of OBC (coming under creamy layer of UP) may apply as unreserved category candidate.

Horizontal reservation of 5% of total vacancy for ex-servicemen EXSM will be provided as per existing UPPCL

Note: As per calculation based on G.O. there are no vacancies available for physically handicapped PH and dependent of freedom fighter candidates under horizontal reservation

No objection certificate: candidate who are working with any State Government/ Central Government/Semi Government/ Government undertaking /Organisation shall have to submit NOC from their present employer at the time of joining.

Examination centre and selection process: Selection process will be based on written test only. Computer Based test CBT will be held at Varanasi, Lucknow, Agra and Meerut cities. Electricity Service Commission, however, have the right to cancel any of the examination CityC/entre and/or add some other cities/centres depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, or any force- majeure condition etc. The test shall be of 3 hours duration with total 200 marks.

Application fee cum processing charges (non refundable):-

SC (domicile of UP) category, ST (domicile of UP) category-  Rs. 700/-

General category/EWS category /Other backward class( OBC)/ Ex-servicemen of UP- Rs.1,000/-

Candidates rather than state of UP any category- Rs.1,000/-


Note : a) Application fee come processing charges can be paid through ATM come debit card credit card net banking or SBI Bank challan form (payable at State Bank of India). b) bank transaction charges will be paid extra by the candidate if any. c) application processing fee on spate will neither be refunded transferred nor can be held in reserve for any other future selection process.
