1. Assistant Agriculture Chemist/ Analytical Chemist/ Junior Soil Chemist: Total 13 posts ( UR- 07, SC-02, ST-01, OBC-02, PWD 01).

Educational qualification: 

1) Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture.                               
2) Master's Degree or Equivalent in Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry /Soil and  water Conservation /Soil Physics/ Soil Survey /Microbiology /Agriculture Chemicals
3)The candidate must have obtained first class in Bachelor's Degree or in Master's Degree.

 Knowledge: Knowledge of Agriculture conditions in West Bengal.

Note : Qualifications are relaxable at the Commission's discretion for otherwise well qualified and experienced candidates

Pay : Rs.15,600 - Rs. 42,000/- (PB-4A)  plus Grade Pay Rs. 5,400/-

Age limit:  Not more than 36 years on 01-01-2019 relaxable for departmental candidate as well as for well qualified and experienced candidates

2. Assistant Entomologist: Total 06 Nos. posts (UR-04, ST-01, OBC-01).

Educational qualifications:

1) Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture
2) Master's Degree or Equivalent in Entomology
3) The candidate must have obtained first class in Bachelor's Degree or in Master's Degree

Knowledge:  knowledge of agriculture conditions in West Bengal

Note:  Qualifications are relaxable at the Commission's direction for otherwise well qualified and experienced candidates

Pay : Rs.15,600 - Rs. 42,000/- (PB-4A)  plus Grade Pay Rs. 5,400/-

3. Assistant Agronomist: Total No. of Posts: 05 (UR-03, SC-01, ST-01).


Educational qualification :

1) Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture
2) Master's Degree or equivalent in Agronomy
3) The candidate must have obtained first class in bachelor's degree or in master's degree

Knowledge: Knowledge of agriculture conditions in West Bengal

Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the Commissions Discretion for otherwise well qualified and experienced candidates

2) Master's Degree or equivalent in Mycology Plant Pathology
3) The candidate must have obtained first class in Bachelor's Degree or in Masters Degree

Knowledge: Knowledge of agriculture conditions in West Bengal

Note:  Qualifications are relaxable at the Commission's Discretion for otherwise well qualified and experienced candidates

Pay : Rs.15,600 - Rs. 42,000/- (PB-4A)  plus Grade Pay Rs. 5,400/-

 Age limit: Not more than 36 years on 01-01-2019 relaxable for departmental candidate as well as for well qualified and experienced candidates

Note (for the posts at serial number 1-4) :  A candidate would be considered as well qualified if his/her educational qualification is at least one level higher than the essential requirement. A candidate may be treated as well experienced if he/she has at least two completed years of experience in the area of experience at via test the extent of age relaxation allowed shoot however not exceed 5 years in any case.

Ability : Ability to read write and speak in Bengali is an essential requirement not applicable for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali.

Upper Age relaxation: Age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates. Such benefits are also available upto the age of 45 years for PWD candidates
